1911 - The Telephone

Since its arrival in 1885, the telephone has been moved to various places as new operators and agents took on the job of receiving and connecting calls. Finally, in 1911, the telephone switchboard was moved to the Mauchle household and operated from there for almost 50 years. Jacob was the telephone agent, and his wife Anna was the telephone operator.
